DESCRIPTION:Join United Imaging in supporting the House of Hope Annual Talent Show and Fundraiser November 17th\, 2019\nAbout the House of Hope Annual Talent Show Fundraiser\nThe House of Hope Annual Talent Show is the annual fundraiser for House of Hope. The show is open to performers in recovery – calling talent from magicians to dancers to musicians to belly dancers to comedians and more. Performers compete for cash prizes – 1st Place winners receive $1\,000\, 2nd Place Winners receive $500 and 3rd Place winners receive $250. Judges from the recovery community banter with performers similar to American Idol\, bringing out stories of hope in recovery and about creating performance art in recovery. The audience enjoys fabulous entertainment and an afternoon of elegant fellowship\, with refreshments provided by sponsors. \nAs a non-profit\, House of Hope relies greatly on the support and generosity that comes through various individuals\, organizations\, and grants. House of Hope is truly a humble place that protects the funds that are raised. We insure that every dollar is invested in the treatment and well-being of the women who enter our doors. \nHelping our women recover from the ravages of their addiction is the mission of House of Hope. We consider increasing funding for treatment for our women as our continual goal. \nBecause the financial burdens of our organization are amplified by the ever growing challenges carried by our patients\, we launched an annual Talent Show fundraiser to meet those challenges and enable us to open the door to an increased number of underserved women. \nRead more about the House of Hope Annual Fundraiser \nAbout the House of Hope \n\nFounded in 1955 and located in the scenic South Bay area of Los Angeles\, House of Hope is a community of drug and alcohol treatment professionals who are dedicated to helping women regain their lives\, their spirit\, and purpose in life. By providing high quality treatment services\, House of Hope creates a warm\, nurturing environment where the journey of recovery can begin. Using a wide range of therapeutic approaches\, the House of Hope team provides a unique and successful program that embraces the 12-step philosophy. Included in the program are individual counseling\, family group counseling and interactive groups such as anger management\, PTSD\, grief and loss\, relapse prevention\, parenting\, domestic violence\, conflict resolution\, self-awareness and communication enhancement.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Weingart Center’s Annual Fall Gala at the Beautiful Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles Featuring Great Music\, Cocktails & Amazing Food from Chef Neal Fraser. This year we will honor two amazing champions: \nTim McFlynn\, who was one of the original founders of the Weingart Center in the 1970s\, will receive our Visionary Award.  Kevin de León\, President por Tempore Emeritus\, will receive our Changemaker Award for his efforts towards eradicating homelessness. \nProceeds from this event will provide much need support for the Transitional Housing\, Job Assistance\, Counseling and Mental Healthcare Services for thousands of people throughout Los Angeles who are experiencing homelessness. It costs more to leave someone on the street than it does to help them transition back into society. By working together we can help individuals regain their confidence and become self-sufficient and break the cycle of homelessness.
