Kimball International Chicago 2021
Workplaces are in flux. Whether work takes shape in a commercial office, a home office, or a mix of spaces that change daily, that environment allows people to feel connected. That connection – to work, to goals, to peers – is the ultimate driver that boosts happiness and productivity. That’s where our Perfect Harmony portfolio comes into play.
Throughout our Chicago Showroom experience, it will become obvious how thoughtful design can make employees, clients, and guests feel like they are a part of something bigger. By incorporating the right mix of furniture solutions and human-focused elements, it’s easy to create spaces that are inviting, personal, and functional…ultimately creating a culture that people want to return to.
In collaboration with Ipsos*, we conducted research and gathered workplace insights to learn about the future of workspaces. These findings validated what we all know to be true – the right spaces create connections. Whether the task at hand is collaborative or more of a solo situation, a mix of environments can support users how and where they need to be supported. By simply nurturing that feeling of being connected, comfort is created, which in turn, empowers everyone to be their best.

Often described as the heartbeat of the office, the Hub supports socialization and connectivity. These spaces are often designed with comfortable, casual, and eclectic pieces.
Culture Café
These spaces play an important part in defining an organization’s brand and culture, as well as creating a positive customer experience. They offer a variety of seating options for meeting, catching up, and grabbing a bite to eat.
Work Your Way
These workspaces support users throughout their work day. From spaces with visual and acoustical privacy to informal meeting areas, these destinations accommodate planned and impromptu interactions.
The Meet Up
Tech-savvy spaces that support coming together, in-person or virtually. These conference rooms and huddle spaces are highly functional and encourage collaboration and problem solving.
Room on the Move
Versatile and movable furniture solutions allow these spaces to easily transition. Promote learning, training, mentoring, and hands-on activities by offering these flexible spaces.
Well + Good
Promote employee well-being and safety with spaces and programs dedicated to overall health. These areas can include yoga and meditation spaces or more personal needs like a mother’s room.
The future of healthcare is shapeable.
The Health Market is changing rapidly, and the role of space has never been as pivotal as it is today. While the last year full of challenges, we saw an opportunity to be a catalyst for change. We believe the future of healthcare is shapeable, and Kimball International is aligning our business to provide solutions that make a positive impact on the delivery of care.
Throughout the Chicago Showroom experience, you’ll see how our approach to insights and research methodologies, partnered with design thinking, come together by leveraging the Perfect Harmony portfolio of products. By using solutions from all our brands, we have created innovative spaces that support better environments throughout the entire facility.
We know that the hospital’s physical environment plays a key role in determining patients’ health outcomes– and it is our mission to support you in keeping pace with the demands of today, so you can elevate every experience to impact the way healthcare is delivered tomorrow.
While in the Chicago showroom, you’ll see a broad range of applications to support emerging trends in healthcare:
Community
Patients seek convenience throughout their journey — from short and comfortable wait times to engaging conversations with caregivers in versatile consultative settings.
Nurse Wellbeing
Nurse burnout didn’t start with COVID-19, and it won’t end with it either. We are conducting observations and working with clients to bring forth solutions that will aid in supporting the quality of care for the caregiver.
Well + Good
Promote employee well-being and safety with spaces and programs dedicated to overall health. These areas can include yoga and meditation spaces or more personal needs like a mother’s room.
Responsive Design
In today’s health environments, adaptability and flexibility are critical. Spaces must be responsive to the different needs of facilities to maximize efficiency and the quality of care.
Hybrid Care
As technology continues to become more and more present in today’s care, it is critical to provide environments that can strengthen engagements between caregiver and patient whether virtual or in person.
